Plantar Fasciitis

You get out of the bed and as soon as you stand up you feel a sharp burning pain in the bottom of your foot.  You may be experiencing Plantar Fasciitis. Plantar Fasciitis is an inflammation of the fascia or connective tissue that creates an arch under your foot.  You may feel pain in the midfoot area or at the base of your heel. Plantar Fasciitis is usually worse first thing in the morning. It is a common problem and can be treated conservatively.

The pain can be significant and you may find it difficult to walk.  Physical therapy for pain modalities, deep friction massage, range of motion and strengthening exercises along with proper walking techniques can help you eliminate Plantar Fasciitis.
